I attended a dinner theatre tonight, which I thought went pretty well. The most interesting part was meeting so many people that I've not talked to for a very long time.
It's funny to see so many people that moved away come back to town. I remember when I moved to Calgary, I thought for sure that I would never come back. But, here I am. I bet it was similar for everyone else. Right now, this feels like home.
Obviously, looking at the dates of the posts on my blog, I have not been actively posting for quite some time.
This is mostly because I heard through the grape vine that one of my previous employers made business decisions about me based on some of my personal writings. Not only is this illegal, I felt violated.
However, I believe it is important to keep a record - at least for myself - of the things happening in my life. The writings on the public posts will contain less private information, and be more general topics.
I have created a private blog also, that I can write my personal entries into. If you would like access to it, you will have to contact me to have an account setup. I don't have an issue sharing my personal life with anyone interested, but - learning from the past - those things that are personal to me should not be for public viewing.
Expect more updates in the near future.
So, I've finally completed the new Canadian Humanitarian Website. August 15th was the official launch of Canadian Humanitarian's new corporate identity.
It's been lots of work, and there's still some tweaking to do. What do you think? Anything I should change?
So, I spent the weekend in Calgary with Model and Talent Search Canada. I've been to their conference weekends before, and have always had a blast.
This particular weekend was amazing! I re-connected with a couple of old friends from the company, and made some new ones. There were some incredible people there, and so much energy!
We managed to get VIP passes to Tantra Night Club (Warning: Audio), and spent Saturday night dancing away. I love Calgary.
